The Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC) is the world’s largest (and oldest) hospitality technology event produced by US-based Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®), a nonprofit hospitality association with members composed of experts and leaders from around the globe. The HITEC event brings together the sharpest minds and the most revolutionary technologies from all over the world in one place.

This year’s HITEC is the first ever in Europe, making UpMail’s nomination for E20X even more special. The nomination is an official recognition and appreciation of the services that UpMail has to offer from the industry’s leaders themselves.

The E20X awards feature unfunded but ambitious entrepreneurs with groundbreaking business concepts. The award also recognises the innovative contributions of nominated businesses to the hospitality industry.

Distinguished Conference Attendees

The attendees for HITEC Amsterdam came from all over the world. Industry leaders and top-level executives from the field of hospitality and technology composed the majority of the attendees. Just to be in the presence of the HITEC events speakers is an honour in itself.

During the 2-day conference, the nominees were presented to a panel of expert judges that include industry insiders, angel investors, serial entrepreneurs, and hospitality CIOs – the main players in the field!

Battle of Entrepreneurs

The fierce (but friendly) competition was tough. Nominees were given only 4 minutes each to pitch their business concept plus another 4 minutes to answer some questions from the panel of judges. Although HYRE Inc. was chosen as the grand winner, to be recognised and nominated for Europe’s first ever E20X Awards is a distinction that UpMail will always be grateful for.
